CCS Undertaking Complete Redesign
of the Heart Failure Consensus Website!

August 28, 2006

The CCS Heart Failure Consensus Program has experienced significant and rapid growth since its inception 18 months ago. With this growth, there is need to revisit the initial design of the website.

When first developed, the website served as a primary communications tool to keep our many partners, stakeholders and supporters abreast of initial developments of the then fledgling program.

Now that we have fully established the CCS Heart Failure Consensus Program, we believe the website should, in addition to serving as a communications tool, be a means to engage the Canadian heart failure care and guidelines communities at large.

Further, we believe that the redesigned website should be based upon our ‘closed-loop model’ of guideline development.

The beta version is currently being evaluated by the Heart Failure Consensus Advisory Roundtable in addition to the CCS/HSFC Website Review Team. We plan to launch the website on by October 1st 2006 and will continue to look for ongoing feedback from all users of the site.

The growth of this program reflects the long-term commitment of CCS and its many members, partners, stakeholders and fellow health care practitioners across Canada to identify best practices in knowledge translation and their impact on practice patterns and health outcomes.

The CCS acknowledges the ongoing contributions of all involved and celebrates the success of the Heart Failure Consensus Program
